Vol. 51 Introduction - Serial 108

This volume contains documents discovered too late to be included where they belong. They supplement a number of other volumes, and contain Confederate material. Much of it relates to the weeks of secession, and the details of whether this or that Federal installation would be handed over intact to the State. Most of the material is military reports, but some correspondence between armies and State and National governments is included. It runs from 1861 to 1865.
