English Civil Wars (1642 - 1651)

Date(s):   1642 - 1651

Description:
The English Civil Wars were fought from 1642 to 1651 between the Royalist forces led King Charles I and the Parliamentarians. The first phase ended in 1646 after the New Model army defeated the Royalist forces at Naseby. The second phase ended in 1649 and the same year King Charles was beheaded.
