Page 2 (Florida Cavalry, Union)


2nd Florida Cavalry Regiment, United States

Organized from December 1863 to June 1864 at Key West and Cedar Keys, the 2nf Florida Cavalry, US, served, like the 1st Florida Cavalry, mainly in Florida, fighting at Station Number Four, and Natural Bridge.  The 1st Florida was mustered out of Federal service in November 1865.

Battles, engagements, and campaigns:

1864:

Skirmish at Pease Creek—February 13-14
Attack on Fort Myers—February 20
Affair at Tampa—May 6
Skirmish at Station Four—July 6


1865:

Braddocks Farm—February 5
Station Four—February 13
Attack on Fort Myers—February 20
Natural Bridge—March 6

Mustered out of service on November 29, 1865
