1st Florida Cavalry Regiment, United States


Organized in December 1863 and served primarily in Florida until 1865 when it participated in the Mobile Campaign and the siege of Fort Blakely.  The 1st Florida Cavalry, US, was deactivated in November 1865.

Battles, engagements, and campaigns:

1864:

Camp Gonzales—July 22
Pollard—July 23
Euche Anna Court House—September 23
Marianna—September 27
Vernon—September 28
Milton—October 26


1865:

Mobile Campaign—April
Siege of Fort Blakely—March 31-April 9

Mustered out of service on November 17, 1865
