7th Florida Infantry Regiment

The 7th Florida Infantry Regiment organized in April 1862 at Gainesville.  Officers included:  Colonel, Madison Starke Perry; Lieutenant Colonel, Robert Bullock, Major, Tillman Ingram. 

Brigaded with the 1st/3rd Florida, 1st/4th Florida, and the 6th Florida. 

The 7th saw action in Kirby-Smith’s Kentucky Campaign, the Battle of Chickamauga, the Atlanta Campaign, Hood’s Tennessee Campaign (Franklin, Murfreesboro, Nashville), the Carolinas Campaign, and the Battle of Bentonville.

The 7th Florida surrendered in North Carolina in April 1865.
