One of Hitler's goals during World War II was the extermination of people he considered subhuman--people whose race was not Aryan in origin. Among those groups were Slavs, Gypsies, and Jews. Hitler blamed the Jews in particular for the disgrace that befell Germany after World War I and for the poor economic conditions in Germany in the 1920s and 1930s. The Germans boycotted Jewish business, and Jews were banned from public office and from intermarrying with non-Jews. Concentration Camps were established at places such as Dachau, Buchenwald, Auschwitz, Sobibor, Treblinka, and many other places.
