About
the Author Rapp Crook received his B.A. in Russian Area Studies in 2004 from Wittenberg University. After teaching high school for three years, in 2008 Rapp began graduate studies at the History Department of Ohio State University. He is currently working on a master's thesis that explores early Soviet conceptions of criminality and the criminal, and how the nature vs. nurture debate influenced the development of corrective labor camps in the Twenties and Thirties. |

| Acknowledgements The Russian Revolution through the Prism of Propaganda is an e-history project developed in conjunction with Professor David Staley's graduate seminar, History & New Media. I enjoyed hearing the creative approaches voiced by the other seminar participants, and I thank them for their helpful ideas. Professors David Hoffmann and Nicholas Breyfogle provided valuable feedback on my interpretations of the posters, for which I am grateful. I especially wish to thank Dr. Staley for so patiently teaching me to use DreamWeaver and for encouraging me to explore innovative ways of presenting historical narratives. |
