Views of Immigrants

The Ram's Horn

The Ram's Horn visuals expressed a desire for immigration restriction, a political movement that was powerful during the Gilded Age and Progressive Era, and which was successful in 1921 and 1924.

Apparently, the author of the text for The Stranger at Our Gate (April 25, 1896) did not see the irony of using a quote by a Jewish prophet to justify discriminating against Jewish immigrants.
