Look at Opposition

The omen and men fighting for woman's suffrage never believed that they were engaged in a fair fight. Instead, they correctly identified larger "interests" working against them, especially the liquor industry and city political machines. Look carefully at this large cartoon and see if you can derive the entire argument from its images and text.

Look at Opposition

The words appearing in the center under the image of the woman read, "Don''t pay any attention to this woman-suffrage. Your place is in the home caring for the children." Does that mean that this is a cartoon against woman's suffrage? Why do you think it is or it is not?
