The New Nationalism Scorned

Soon after Roosevelt delivered his speech about , the Democratic humor magazine Puck, in its November 2, 1910 issue, derided the former President with this cartoon.  (Roosevelt also was a writer for the magazine Outlook.)

The cartoon caption reads:  The Indian Medicine Show, The Populace is Privileged to Step Up and Buy at Any Time."
