About Scott Laidig:

Scott graduated from Ohio State in 1965 with a degree in history. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps and served from 1965 to 1974. While on active duty he, among many other things, served in Vietnam, attended Russian language school, was assigned to various submarines of the US Pacific Fleet, and taught infantry tactics at The Basic School. His 15 seconds of fame came in the best selling book, Blind Man's Bluff, by Sherry Sontag. After resigning, Scott worked for two defense contractors before starting his own firm in 1982. Scott co-founded VisiCom Laboratories in 1989 when his firm was incorporated into the new company; Scott became a Senior Vice President, a position he kept until 1998, when VisiCom was sold. Scott retired from the defense business and co-founded eHistory. He is married to Susan Novotny, and has two grown children and three grandchildren. Scott's son-in-law, Tim Stanton, is an Ohio National Guard major who served with the 4th Infantry Division in Iraq. Scott spends his summers in Montana, and the falls traveling with the Buckeyes!
